"CAMP" is a visualization of Susan Sontag's "Notes on 'Camp'" written in 1964. The essay considers the meanings and connotations of the word "Camp." In 2019 the Met hosted their famous gala, featuring the same theme.
I find the aesthetics of all things Camp to be amusing and inspiring in my life as a designer. While researching more into Camp concepts I found myself taking direct inspiration from these sources. It seemed only fitting to put them all together in a magazine.
The magazine was printed for my junior year design final in May of 2020 at Boston University College of Fine Arts.
Almost every image in the 100-page magazine was digitally painted.
